The "we get it, you are leaving the house" was just a cringe comment. It is steeped in meaning, it is alluding to her divorce, and moving on...she is asking her son to "take it easy on me". Rather than tear her down or blame her for making his life a mess because the divorce, and choices she made that affected his life so much as well. The ending with her laughing, and the director teasing her was allowed into the video to show she actually is passed the sadness, and trauma of the divorce now, and is moving on. and is able to laugh, and be at ease with herself and others a bit more.

The 13 colonies that became the 13 first states were mostly British. But people from all over the old world Europe had come too. There were also blacks that had been brought to be slaves in some of the southern areas mostly. The major countries of the old Europe wanted to claim the land and natural resources of the USA. Many groups had also moved to the USA to escape religious persecution in Europe hoping to be able to live in peace and worship as they thought approriate. Such groups were from all over Europe. This is why USA government is such a miracle. The 13 states had different ethnicities, cultures, social and government structures, religions, had even different languages. Try making these incomparable groups into one people and nation. No one outside the USA expected it to work and many inside the USA were also doubtful, but willing to fight to the death to try. The revolution had ended 8 or less years earlier the USA was doing well especially at sea and trade with other countries so to get a greater profit the British wanted to force the USA to come back under their rule as a foreign conquered people. By the way the reason the revolution happened was because the British had encouraged them to settle in USA then progressively dealt with them more and more like a conquered people instead of honouring their rights as British citizen according to the British Magna Carta constitution/treaty. The USA citizens had fought a hard and bloody war with the Brit soldiers and even their neighbors and didn't want to go through it again but wanted even less to be under the British again or anyone else for that matter.
